Kaiser Permanente Coming to Nevada

We are pleased to announce that Kaiser Permanente and Renown Health have entered an agreement to jointly own and operate a health plan and new outpatient care delivery system that will bring Kaiser Permanente to northern Nevada - starting with open enrollment in Fall 2026 for the 2027 plan year.

For many years, our channel partners, customers and members have been asking for Kaiser Permanente to come to Nevada. Nevada’s vibrant and expanding economy is attracting many new businesses and residents. Reno is the second-largest metropolitan market in Nevada and growing faster than the U.S. overall.

We are thrilled to bring Kaiser Permanente to Nevada, expanding our footprint into a new geography for the first time in 8 years.
 
Kaiser Permanente will introduce a new way to deliver integrated care and coverage in northern Nevada through this collaboration with Renown Health, the leading high quality local care delivery organization that shares KP’s commitment to advancing value-based care.

Kaiser Permanente will pair Renown Health’s strong local reputation and leading health care system with our health plan expertise and value-based care model to deliver what matters most: affordability and value, seamless care coordination with coverage, and high-quality care close to home.
 
Pending regulatory approval:
  • Kaiser Permanente and Renown Health will own and operate a health plan and new outpatient care delivery system in northern Nevada.
  • The existing Del Monte medical office in Reno will become part of Kaiser Permanente Nevada in 2026. The joint venture is developing plans for additional medical offices as well.
  • Kaiser Permanente health plan coverage to new members in northern Nevada starting with open enrollment in Fall 2026 for the 2027 plan year.
