Sutter Health Plan - CVS Caremark Network Changes Update

Effective July 1, 2025, Walgreens and Medical Pharmacy United pharmacy (also known as Medical Clinic Pharmacy or Tom's Medical Pharmacy) locations will no longer be in the CVS Caremark® pharmacy network for Sutter Health Plan members. Members can continue to pick up their prescription drugs at many major pharmacies, including CVS Pharmacy, Safeway, and Wal-Mart, to name a few.

Sutter Health Plan is collaborating with CVS Caremark to identify members who recently picked up a prescription drug at Walgreens or Medical Pharmacy United. They will send targeted notices to all identified members and their corresponding employer groups.

The member letter will provide details on the pharmacy network change, other in-network pharmacy locations, instructions on how to change pharmacies and how to contact CVS Caremark for additional information or assistance.

The employer letter will include information about the pharmacy network change as well as a copy of the member letter.
