Legislative Update: A Review of Essential New Laws and Trends | 1 C.E.

Human resource professionals — and the benefits consultants who advise them — need to stay up to date. This program will cover insurance, benefit, and employment laws passed by the state legislature and that will impact the workplace, and the design and implementation of health and welfare benefit plans in the new year.

An update on the ACA will be included, with an emphasis on its on-going impact on individuals, businesses, IRS reporting, and recordkeeping. Potential IRS audit targets created by the ACA will be addressed, with an action plan for compliance.

This course will also include a discussion of recent legislative trends and developments on the federal, state, and local level.
