MetLife has entered into an agreement to sell MetLife Auto & Home to Farmers Group Inc., a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group. As a part of this transaction, MetLife and the Farmers Exchanges have established a strategic partnership through which Farmers Insurance (Farmers) will offer its personal lines property and casualty products on MetLife's Group Benefits platform.
This is the beginning of a new chapter for MetLife and the P&C business. MetLife remains committed to serving brokers and working in partnership with Farmers to ensure your needs are met with no interruption. For your customers who offer MetLife Auto & Home Insurance: there will be no immediate changes to existing coverage. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals and is targeted to close in the second quarter of 2021.
